Alaskans Rock!
I was at the Anchorage party today, right at noon. What a turnout! I estimate about 300 people, or 75 per street corner at 7th and C. Wow!
In a town of about 290,000, that means that slightly over one out of every thousand people showed up.
Fewer than 999 out of every 1,000 were unmoved and managed to stayed away. Amazing!
Imagine what one tenth of one percent of Anchorage residents could do if they really put their minds to it! Like, maybe fill the seats of one screen at a movie theater! Or fill one out of every 21 seats at an Aces game!
If politicians think they will serve the interests of 99.9% of Anchorage's residents and ignore the 0.1% who came out today, they'll do so at their peril. Good luck you politicians!
