New poll reveals Sarah Palin losing favor with Alaskans

Sarah Palin By Dan Fagan

The Alaska Standard

A new poll confirms what an Alaska Standard poll found back in January: U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski is by the far the most popular elected official in Alaska.

A statewide poll conducted by the Anchorage firm Hays Research has good news for Murkowski. At the same time, it reveals continued dramatic erosion of Governor Palin’s popularity in Alaska. Murkowski’s favorable rating remains off the chart with an impressive 77 percent approving of the job she is doing. The senior senator’s negative rating is also very low at only 18 percent.

Compare that to the Governor’s negatives where close to 42 percent of respondents said they do not approve of the job Palin is doing right now. A Hays Research poll one year ago showed Palin with only a 9 percent negative rating, and an unprecedented 86 percent favorable rating. The new Hayes Research poll shows the governor's favorable rating plummeting a whopping 32 percentage points in just one year- to 54 percent. That’s the governor's lowest approval rating since taking office.

Just about every poll conducted state wide in the past six months has indicated more and more Alaskans are falling off the Palin bandwagon. 54 percent is still a good rating, and most politicians would be happy with it. But the consistent erosion of Palin’s approval rating in her home state does not bode well for her bid to become president in 2012.

Palin has managed to anger both conservatives and liberals in recent weeks in Alaska. Her appointment of a former Planned Parenthood board member to the Alaska Supreme court did not sit well with many in Alaska’s pro-life community.

The governor has managed also to agitate liberals with her failed appointment of Wayne Anthony Ross to state attorney general.

The governor has angered both conservatives and liberals with her "we won’t take the stimulus money, no wait we will, no maybe not, well OK, let’s take most of it" saga.

Palin is also battling the growing perception among Alaskans that she is more concerned about her presidential ambitions than governing the state. If Palin does decide to run for re-election, she’d probably be the favorite, but the race would be far from an easy one for her. This leads many pundits to predict she will bypass a second term and instead hit the national campaign trail.

But nationally she also has taken some hits. There is the media circus being played out on a daily basis on national television involving the governor’s family. There’s no way that’s helping her with voters in Alaska or nationally.

Palin has clearly had a rough go of it since stepping onto the national stage. But there is one thing she has proved over and over in her short political career: Sarah Palin is a politician you never want to underestimate.

For biodiesel efficient to work on a large scale it how to make biodiesel would have to overcome benefits of biodiesel some enormous limitations. First, there is not enough biofuels usage energy to support everyone using biodiesel.

Hmmmm! So Fox News reports that Barak Obama says there is a chance he won't seek re-election in 2012. Could it be that a certain BIG blue bus touring around the lower 48 have something to do with his fear to face a woman? I was looking forward to the first debate between Obaama and Sarah. Guess Obama is scared to face her. Guess it's no fun being scraped up off the floor with a spatula after being clobbered by a dynamic woman. Maybe Obama can go bow to the fellow around here who calls himself "Emperor.l

I think she also lost a lot of people when she denied the possibility of having no prescription online pharmacy in our county. I think it is unfair to be forced to stay 2 hours in a queue to see a doctor, in order to get prescription for a headache pill.

I have had it with every seemingly Liberal anti-sarah site I have been on. I have been called a cultist, Palinbo, trailer trash and others, then only to have someone claim defalamatory thing on my part. Well all you Libtards can just go to *****n for all I care. Good bye you kool-aid obamamainians who nhate America, and practice groupthink. I know you are just a pea in the bucket of Alaskans.

If I get banned, it's really no loss to me, I just consider the source.

ilsnowbird

Question for you. How do you explain that during Palin's first two years in office with her big tax and spend and anti free market policies, her most outspoken allies and cheerleaders were the most liberal Democrats in the state? How do you explain that?

First off, this blog is considered a conservative blog.  You seem to have the opinion that anyone who doesn't share your blind devotion to our governor must obviously be a liberal.  I am not, nor have I ever been, a liberal.

Your condemnation of everyone who does not agree exactly and precisely with your position is an attitude that is, unfortunately becoming an epidemic in the Republican party.  Another sign of the decline of the party and precisely the kind of attitude that drove me and an increasing number of people out.  You probably think that's a good thing.  The party of Lincoln, indeed.

When you choose to comment on a blog post and cite facts that you cannot back up with verifiable sources then you are going to get called on it.  You are welcome to your opinion but don't expect us to accept your opinion as fact just because you say so.  Leave that to boss bloviator Limppaw.  After all, he's a highly paid bull$h!t slinging professional.

We call anyone who throws random, unsupportable and erroneous statements about Palin and her record around a "Palinbot".  Palinbots tend to get really annoyed when they are called upon to offer supporting evidence when they state things about Palin's actions and record as fact.  So go ahead, share with us the sources of your information in support of Palin's record.  Do that and I will be happy to refrain from referring to you as a Palinbot.

Unlike you, I live in Alaska.  Palin's incompetence and ill conceived programs stand to impact me, my family, and all of my fellow Alaskans in very direct and negative ways.  And never mind about her making a laughingstock of our state with her ignorance and soap opera family.  I used to believe that her family should be off limits until she decided to use them as stage props, something she is still doing today!  Shoot, I could even overlook look all of the drama if she showed she has a clue what the hell she is doing.

Does it come as some big shock to you that there are a large and growing number of conservatives and moderates who are no longer enamored of Palin?  Why do you suppose that is?  I'll tell you why.  It's because WE STARTED PAYING ATTENTION.

It's obvious that you are only interested in participating in a Sarah Palin love and worship fest.  Perhaps it is best that you keep your comments confined to sites like TS and C4P.  Commenters there march lock-step with the tune Palin whistles and, for sure, no one is going to call you on misrepresenting Palin's record since everyone there does that.

Unlike you I live in the Heartland and I know all the states like the back of my hand. I know them like you claim to know Alaska. I know the people, their politics, their religion, their culture I have known them all my life. Sarah has them all locked up  Even Iowa because the people are po'd at their supreme court on marriage. There will be a backlash against the democrats, and the whole Heartland IS Palin Country. I guess the ethics board doesn't agree with your beef with Sarah. Hmmmm they say she has Constitutional rights. Of course. I knew that!

"Unlike you I live in the Heartland and I know all the states like the back of my hand..I know the people, their politics, their religion, their culture I have known them all my life."

Uh-huh sure you do. You know ALL of the above. Do you really expect ANYONE to believe these wild exaggerated statements like the above?

"Sarah has them all locked up  ..... and the whole Heartland IS Palin Country."

Interesting. I grew up in the Midwest, and my side of the family is still there (my wife's family is in AK). And from those I know, albeit a small percentage of the MW population, SP doesn't have it "locked up" .

So, once again, I ask you to provide credible (oh, heck, forget the credible part), links to back up your assertion that SP has the Heartland locked up.

Do YOU really expect me to believe your exagerated rantings about SP due to YOU living in Alaska, and then you attack me of my own lifelong living in the Heartland? Turn about is fair play. I have had it with your double standard. And no, you are  not worthy or entitled to so called "credible anything." I will not back down ,as Carrie Perjean didn't back down. I will tell you that on May 19, 2009, the Illinois Tea Parties will converge from all over the state, including Cook County, upon, the Illinois State Capitol. We are invited by State Representative Jill Tracy, to back her up during a session of the Illinois House, to do battle over the Illinois budget, and the federal stimulas package. Missouri will send a contingency to re-enforce our numbers. WE also will move Illinois to adopt State Sovereignty under the 10th admendment, as Missouri is already doing this. We are Sarah's warriors, in the Midwest, and we will prevail in every state with patience of Job. I stick by my statement, that Sarah has the Heartland locked up. Check in on election Night, Nov. 2012. I'm NOT failing to answer you with credible evidence, I'm just tellin you when I shall give it. You don't get to demand when. It is my info and I'm telling you, to wait until 11- 2012. Yes I do know the people, their faiths, politics, culture of not only America's Heartland, but also of Vietnam. I married a Vietnamese, and served there.

"Do YOU really expect me to believe your exagerated rantings about SP due to YOU living in Alaska, and then you attack me of my own lifelong living in the Heartland? Turn about is fair play.I have had it with your double standard."

State my exaggerated SP rantings. What double standard are you referring to?

" And no, you are  not worthy or entitled to so called "credible anything.....I'm NOT failing to answer you with credible evidence, I'm just tellin you when I shall give it."

Of course I'm not "worthy or entitled" to links to backup your claims. But it,s not because I'm not worthy, it's because you don't have any links. It is obvious that several here have called your bluster and you can't give any links to back up your assertions. I'm not the only one calling you out. If you had any links, you'd provide them.

"Yes I do know the people, their faiths, politics, culture of not only America's Heartland, but also of Vietnam. I married a Vietnamese, and served there."

I served in Nam in the 60's also. What does that prove? I certainly don't pretend to know "everything" about Vietnam 40+ years later, other than we're now trading with them and treating them like a normal country.

In a post titled "My Complaint" you said "Good-bye". You never left and you continue to troll on. Nothing you say has credibility.

Well, Well, Well! The French Newspaper Le Point has called Sarah Palin the "Fanatic of America's Heartland. They say she is a fanatic because of her religious faith, and her "extream" conservative views. They say she is the Sweetheart of  the heartland because of her level of support in America's Heartland. Well Le Point, I can show you some examples of fananticsim, such as Osama bin laden, Hitler, Mussolini, Karl Marx, Stalin, Lennin, Idi Amin, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Chairman Mao, and of course Pol Pot. No, Hockey Mom sarah Palin ain't no fanatic. While I agree with Le Point on the Heartland's level of support for SP, it is because she speaks our language, we see ourselves in her. She is a bible believing, gun toteing, frugal spending, low tax, limited government, and small business advocate just like  the rest of us Mid-westerners. I would tell Le Point that Europe doesn't know whether they are coming or going, the difference between upside down and inside out. they don't know whether they are snake bitten, cold or hot, Islamic or not, and are upset because Obama hasen't solved all the world's problems in his first 100 days, since they fell head over heels for him in the last two years. One thing Le Point is correct in their assessment of Sarah Palin, and that is that Obama may just have met his match in her. You don't know the half of it, Le Point, just like my esteemed collegues on the other side of the aisle here on Alaska Standard. At least I can call them, esteemed, because they are my fellow Americans, but, even though you were once our Ally , now I just don't reccognize you, France, or any other part of Western Europe.

The double standard of on one hand, you claim to be some kind of self appointed authority on SP "cause you live in Alaska." So I'm just supposed to accept your word on this, and then roll over dead, huh! On the other hand you fail to accept my knowledge of the Heartland based on my lifelong living here. I know what the problem is! You and the so called others," you ranted on whom you say ,have called me out," are part of the "groupthink." You are offended that an "individual," dared to question the wannabe "consensus,". See the Left and wannabe moderates operate in Group,s" and hate individualism. Now I have a question for you. What part of tune into on election night 2012 don't you understand? anyone reading any part of this thread can never find when you asked for the info links or "credibale anything "to be deliverd. I got you on that one. You NEVER said give it to me NOW! So NOW I choose WHEN. Election Night, 2012. Do You understand. I got you painted into the corner with no way out and so your only defense is to put words in my mouth. So I'm even challenging you claim of being in Vietnam. Why. well If I claimed to have been to Mars, then you will tell me you either have been there or have family living there for the last 20 years. You see, I've been around the block in that useless debate group on Classmates com, so I can pretty well predict your mindset. So even though I've never sat foot inside Florida, I will now claim to "know FL, and I'll bet in your reply, you will tell me that you have "family in three places in FL.  Yes, Sarah Palin is an individualist and you "groupthink," just don't like it, do you." wow, I catch a drift of sexism>

"The double standard of on one hand, you claim to be some kind of self appointed authority on SP "cause you live in Alaska."

Show me where I said I lived in AK.  Geesh you can't even get your arguments straight.

"What part of tune into on election night 2012 don't you understand? anyone reading any part of this thread can never find when you asked for the info links or "credibale anything "to be deliverd.  I got you on that one. You NEVER said give it to me NOW! So NOW I choose WHEN."

Any rational person would understand that when we asked for links, it was an immediate request. But that presumed a rational respondent.

"Do You understand. I got you painted into the corner with no way out and so your only defense is to put words in my mouth"

Very SPECIFICALLY, show me the words I'm putting in your mouth.

"well If I claimed to have been to Mars, then you will tell me you either have been there or have family living there for the last 20 years."

No, I've never been to Mars and don't know anyone there. But I'll take your word for it that you're "way out".

Well, ilsnowbird, I've gotten more intelligent debate from a "Heartland" fence post. To everyone here, it's obvious you're a Palinbot and troll, so I won't waste any more of anyone's time by replying to your posts. You can have the last say.

PS: You did say you were going to leave, yet you keep posting. Most Midwesterners are good at their word. Too bad you don't fit in that category.

What you're leaving, whatever will we do without you?

Is your heart broken because the ethics board said political complaints against Gov. Palin should be settled at the ballot box and not by someone filing frivilous lawsuits. BTW it's against the law in Alaska to file an ethics complaint against anyone and then go down to the newspapers and publish what is regarded as confidential. So I encourage you to visit the ballot box in 2010

Is NOTHING you say credible?

Palin can't utilize the same backstabbing and chaos producing antics to get elected this time.  I don't know if she can fluff up another resume, however, her old one isn't going to pass muster.  These poll numbers have made national news and her Alaskan antics are starting to attract notice .  She didn't realize how mobilized Alaska's State residents are in vocalizing and reporting on their frustration with her actions. Back in the olden days, before technology, it would have worked to her advantage.  You could't count her out in the old days but she's history in these "new times".

A narcassist whose left hand doesn't know what her right hand is doing is going nowhere in Alaska or nationally.    It's obvious they want her for her fundraising abilities but I think her baggage is getting heavier for those folks to work around.  I'm waiting for the GOP to blame their divisive leadership problems squarely on Palin's little divisive shoulders.  It's time to put the SS Palin into drydock.

There is no division within the GOP, just some washed up unuseful extra bagging that will be discarded from the Palin Express. Right now, we in the true GOP are doing her legwork, pruning out the RINO's and wannebes who don't belong. The grassroots are quite busy, with our city councils, county boards, state ledgislatures, and then there is Congress all in the 2010 elections. We know what we want without Hannity, Coulter, Rush or any other ,telling us what we want. America is ours and we're gonna take her back. Then in 2012 we will borrow Sarah for 8 years. And all the tirates from the left won't stop us. We will end the Woodrow Wilson Progressive stealing of America from free individuals, and end the groupthink ruining of our beloved country.  We are everywhere and we surround America. We are the one's you fear will elect Sarah as POTUS 45, and with good reason because we will, You can count on it. Do you see America now? That Bon Home Richard?  All of us John Paul Jones are coming upon your inexperienced sea captain O-Ba-Ma and we have just begun to fight. don't think of this as a revolution as much as a Restoration of a devinely inspired Great Country.I personaly want all of you to tune in on 01-20-2013 when Sarah Takes the Oath of Office as POTUS 45 and even then none of you will have figured out how we did this, and how she did this.

In case you haven't noticed every credible poll done in the last few weeks numbers individuals currently identiing themselves as Rebulican as low as 21% but in no case has any poll come up with numbers exceeding 37%.  And the numbers get smaller everytime a new poll is conducted.  To paraphrase another frequent commenter on this blog, don't take my word for it.  Google it.

One of the problems the party is having is they have allowed the hardcore and wingnut right to hijack the party.  Based on the tone of your comments and rebuttals (if they can even be called rebuttals) makes me believe that you fit into this category.  I was a registered Republican for 34 years until the party's devolution into complete wingnuttery drove me to declare as an independent.  Of course someone such as yourself would consider me, a moderate, a RINO while I was in the party but I take that as a compliment.

Don't get me wrong.  I think that the hardcore left is as deluded and wingnutty as you people on the hard right are.  Thank goodness we independents and moderates on both sides are paying attention now.  Those of us who occupy the center, regardless of party affiliation, make up the majority of the population of this country.  This is why an uninformed, incopetent nutter like Palin will never make it past a primary in these days of instant reporting.  Just ain't gonna happen pal because we moderates will never let it.

If you want to have any chance at all of a conservative regaining the White House then your energies would be better used supporting someone who might actually have a chance at being elected.  Of course the Dems are just loving the fact that you Palinbots ARE putting this much energy into supporting a stalking horse like Palin.  They know all that you are accomplishing is driving more and more people away from the Republican party.  To use a phrase from your heroine, this is what you'd call a "psychology of destruction".

Enjoy your time in the wilderness.  Maybe Palin can find a burning bush for you...or maybe an open door to barge through.

Of course, when you talk of national polls, you are only referring to the two coastal regions Western and Upper East coast., and Ilsands in the Heartland. Overwhelmingly, America's Heartland, where I live, is Palin Country, and then there is the West, and the South. Palin's got that too. so we are really talking about the elistist strongholds where Palin would have some work to do. Romney has no chance because too many narrow minded bigots would never vote for a Mormon, though I have NO problem with someone from the LDS Church. I'am not a mormon, but I do have friends who are. Still they support Sarah as I do.

I have had excellent imparted wisdom from my former foes in Vietnam, who are centuries old experts on how to take back a country. He who rules the night rules the country, and he who owns the rural country side , owns the country, and the cities will fall. Sarah has rural America locked up already, and I and others are working on the cities. You are just not inside the loop so of course, you believe King Soros and his engineered results oriented polls. Ever hear of the Dump Dodd in CT or Reject Reid in NV. You will. You will also hear of the big surprise we have for Congress for the 2010 elections. We''ve got the goods on them now.

"Sarah has rural America locked up already"

Care to provide some credible links to support that statement?

Provide you with some "credible links," so that I have to listen to some nausianting poor attempt to disprove something that I already know to be true since I'am a resident of rural America? There is some hope for you, however. The condition of Palin Deraingment Syndrome is curable, but it's like any 12 step program. You gotta first of all admit that you have it, and then seek counseling. Any professional therapist can provide this.  I'm not, however, confident that you will follow up with this, so the rest of real America must continue to endure the wing flappings of those suffering from this highly debilitating condition. I will, however keep you in my thoughts and well wishes. I would have said thoughts and prayers, but of course in this day of PC, I wouldn't want to tread upon one's religious sensitivities. As i have said, those who are not in the loop will of course, not know the undercurrents, outside of the "blue enclaves," in an otherwise Red State country. You'll have to excuse me tonight, if I seem a bit rash. I'm still recovering from "Scareforce one," flyover NYC, and scaring the living daylights out of millions of New Yorkers. I'm also recovering from Nancy Pelosi's lies about not knowing about "waterboarding." Just take my word for it, Sarah does have Rural America locked up, but I'll understand if you can only see Urban America.

"Provide you with some "credible links," so that I have to listen to some nauseating poor attempt to disprove something that I already know to be true since I'm a resident of rural America? "

My oh my.  Just like the bully when called upon to provide facts, he goes off and changes the subject, and then attempts to demean the questioner.  It doesn't work - unlike you, we're not bots. PROVIDE LINKS TO PROVE YOUR STATEMENTS!!!!  Here's your BIG CHANCE. PROVE IT!

There is some hope for you, however. The condition of Palin Deraingment Syndrome is curable"

As I said, calling someone names is typical of the Palin Cult. Can't prove your statements, so try defamatory language. Doesn't work. And the AK people especially are seeing that.

While we're at it, under the title "Of Course You're Not A Cultist, You're A Palinbot", I directly challenged some of the inflammatory statements you made in another post. I notice that you did not reply. Truth hurts???

November 2012 you will have your proof. See I'm not in a court of law, so I can decide WHEN to provide the proof and how. Remember you absolutely did NOT state when, so I decide. check our my statement on Election Night in November 2012. I will tell you this, after John McCain made a fool of himself over TARP in September 2008, the only reason the ticket got 59,000,000 votes was because of Sarah Palin. The conservatives were ready to give up except for SP. She saved him from a very bitter humiliating loss. As it is, he got back his $84,000,000 from the FEC, and is very comfortable now. And Sarah got zilch from him. On the other issues you made, I just didn't consider  giving them the justice of a reply because I know that Team Obama, Soros and company, and the Daly machine are quite active up there. There are therapist who can help with that problem I alerted you about.

".....See I'm not in a court of law, so I can decide WHEN to provide the proof and how."

Yep, can't provide requested links, so backtrack, and huff and puff - anything but answer our questions.

You've lost all credibility because you can't back up your "facts" with links. Apparently it isn't in your script.

Hey buster, who do you really think you are, "Hager the Horrible," in the comics?  Get off this links crap. The world doesn't center around you. You don't get to write the script. I told you when I will provide the info. What maneger was you born in? Now let me see, You want links to prove I have lived here all my life? is that it?  I want links to prove you really live in AK.I think you are really one of those bloggers SP talks about, who sits in his parents basement in oh let's say LA, in his pj's and can't think of anything else to do. How do you feel now?  It's not about whether I can ot can't give links. You haven't proved to me that you are entitled to it. So tune in on election night, and you know that I actually knew what I was talking about.

I'm not at all surprised by the latest poll results.  It's a continuation of a well established trend.

Well informed conservatives abandoned Palin a long time ago.  Her massive ACES tax increase has hurt the Alaskan economy and cost us many hundreds of well paying jobs.

Palin's AGIA legislation is a fiasco that is about to blow up.  Real conservatives don't support this kind of unnecessary interference in the free market.

She has failed to balance the state budget - and worse used the capital budget to punish her political enemies.

As long as the truth about Palin keeps coming out (in spite of C4P's efforts to stop the truth) Palin's approval numbers will go nowhere but down.

David A. Chacon

I'm not at all surprised by the latest poll results either. It's a continuation of a well established trend indeed.  I wondered why Senator Sam Brownback voted for Kathleen Seibelus for HHS Sec. until I learned that HE intends to run for Governor of kansas next year. So are we going to see a D. Chacon for Governor in Alaska campain or are the good ole boys ganging up on a rebound effort? I think I've read this story before like Grimms Fairy Tales, or was it Tales of the crypt. No I think it was the movie "Suppose they Gave a War and nobody came." Is all this bash Sarah because she didn't walk up to ya and kiss you on the cheek at the state fair?

You Know? My neighbors in Missouri love Sarah Palin that they now have their own version of her in State Treasurer Sarah Steeleman for US Senate . The show me state now calls itself Palin Country. But I guess the Kool-Aid still flows among a few malcontented minorities in Alaska.

If the "Show Me" state now considers itself "Palin Country" then maybe they can make her an offer can't refuse and entice her and her clan to move there.  It'll give her chance to screw up some one elses state.  She'll "Show Them" in Missouri all right.  Really, she needs to be someplace where the denizens will blindly  worship her.

Now that her incompetence and ethical malfeasance are becoming obvious to my fellow Alaskans more and more of her previous supporters (myself included) are realizing that we would be well rid of her.  Yep, y'all can have her....with our blessings!

Thank you akdennis for the generous offer, but we in America's Heartland choose to have Sarah in the Oval Office as POTUS 45. WE are well confident that with her there, then the President won't be somebodyy's puppet. We just can't figure out whose puppet O is . Is it King Soros, or King Abdulla,. or is it Queen Oprah, or is it Mayor Richard Daly, or is it HRH Princess Pelosi. We are quite sure that Sarah is her own self and won't dance to the tune of someone intoxicated with Leftist Liberism laced Kool-Aid. I have found that the cackling hens on the Left, and a few misguided GOP wannabes generally reveal themselves , when they invent such Ivy League inventions as all of the "colorful tribes they throw at Sarah. Were you looking in a mirror when you used such big words as incompetence and malfeasance, or is that what the Groupthink told you to say.Or are you like Sen. Brownback and have plans to run for governor yourself? You said you were a supporter of her's. What happened? Didn't she shake your hand, kiss your cheek, give you a bigger dividend check than everybody else. or was it that she didn't acknowledge your son as the best student in his school? Or was it that she didn't come to your house to tell you a bedtime story? Or was it that you woke up one morning realizing that you weren't governor and she was, and you have carried that burr in your saddle around, with you r long sad face everywhere you go. Grow up and realize that no governor is going to please all the people all of the time, but that doesn't make her or him an incompetent malfeasant. Sarah will be more as a president than someone who can read a teleprompter, and she won't pick a VP who makes it a habbit to stick his foot in his mouth.

Susan Butcher used the mining law to do what others were sanctioned and fined for doing:  living on mining claims illegally.

Sarah Palin's popularity has declined because too many are seeing her as an ineffective govenror.

This last legislative session is a big disappointment.  None of her priorities were passed.

The support for the partental notification initiative is an admission of defeat and ineffectiveness.  This governor was elected with a clear mandate.  Yet, a first year priority waits until the the 3d year, and she can't pull it off.  Same for the in-state pipeline legislation.

Sarah needs to figure out whether she wants to be Pres or Governor.  One or the other, but not both at this time--LDW

His polls are only right for the people that paid him LOL

The Woman left a $125-G a year job to clean up Alaskan Corruption,

you dont see Lisa or Mark doing that!

She is the Susan Butcher of Alaskan Politics!

Palin didn't clean up AK corruption.  The FBI and the US Dept of Justice did.

Palin's action's in Troopergate added to the corruption in this state.

David A. Chacon

AND USED A CHILD MOLESTER FOR A WITNESS?

THAT FBI?

THEY DIDNT CLEAN ANYTHING,

THEY JUST STIRRED UP THE STINK!

After all, they predicted that McCain-Palin would only carry Alaska by a couple of points while dummies like me were saying that Obama would lose by 20%.

I remember after 1960, that folks thought we'd never see Richard Nixon. later he even said "you won't have me to kick around anymore." Then came 1968, and who got elected POTUS? It was Ole Richard Nixon. Now, I find any kind of polls quite suspicious at best, and at worst, well birdcage liner. Public opinion polls can be designed just like a pair of jeans, with the outcome pretty much already decided aforehand. The only kind of polls I can accept are ones on Election Day, where the voters cast ballots. Even then, if you have a Mayor Richard Daly type around, then even those polls results can be engineered. I'm one of the blades in the grassroots and I don't see any slippage in Gov. Sarah Palin's popularity. I think the slippage mentioned here is due to a whole lotta Kool-Aid drinking, mixed with fear on one hand and wishful thinking on the other hand. I would say it was a bunch of RINO's and Liberals in a stuper, in the Alaska Ledgislature, who got all starry eye'd with visions of dollar signs, when Obama flashed fistfulls of greenbacks in their faces. Meanwhile, Gov. Palin remained steadfast in her resolve against the Leftist Liberal/RINO version of voo doo economics.

You write her slip in the polls is because of "Kool-Aid drinking, mixed with fear on one hand and wishful thinking". Did you ever stop to consider that maybe just maybe it might have something to do with her policies and the way she governs? That's all I've read so far today from you Palin cultists.

You are the same people that bashed George Will, Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, etc. etc. and labeled them elitists. What are you? Obviously you think Alaskans can't think for themselves and are easily manipulated by the media. It also seems to me the anti-elitist sect really has a problem with Levi Johnston, I've seen him called inbred, white trash, trailer trash, etc. etc., again all by the same people that love to label anyone that questions Palin's abilities.

While you're at it explain to me how Palin is remaining "steadfast" against any economic ideology? What is her economic ideology? As far as I can tell it's tax and spend.

You would think in today's economic times and era of big government it would be different but II tell ya, it get's harder and harder to be a fiscal conservative when  such a large portion of the GOP base becomes apologists for politicians like Palin.

Sarah Palin would never apoligize to Europe for America's greatness. She would never address students in Turkey declaring America never was nor is now a Judeo-Christian country. She would never bow to a Saudi King and keeper of the two holy mosque. She would never      spend $900,000,000 in support of enemies Israel or the USA, and then leave vague on whether she still supported Israel. She would never court the Castro brothers, or listen to a diatribe against America, by Daniel Oteaga, and she would never shake the hand of a dictator like Hugo Chavez. She would never fire the CEO of GM, from the Oval Office.

It was the Alaska State Ledgislature which passed the stimulas tax and spend, not Gov. Palin.

Ya know, those of us on the right, are not cultist just because we disagree with those of you on the left, or those of you who apparently don't know for sure just where you are. Lincoln-Reagon-Palin; nothing cultish about that. Just plain ole ordinary Old fashioned patriotic American, who like some TEA once in awhile.

As for Levi, well he made his bed.

When you wrote Palin would never shake the hand of Hugo Chavez do you mean she's not going to thank him for providing heating oil to villages in rural Alaska?

As Palin is well known for "biting the hand" of anyone who ever reached out to help her, do you think she'll bite Chavez's hand instead?  (Now there's an image)

How does Palin, your "energy expert," explain the fact that in a state full of oil a socialist has to come to the rescue of the people in her state?

David A. Chacon

Well Gov.-elect Chacon, she will explain it this way. Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Durbin, Frank, Boxer, Obama, well you get the idea. You know those Libs who think the Norse god walked on the North Slope and blessed the land so we just can't drill baby drill. Now if we can just get inside the beltway and get them out of Alaska, then we won't need Citgo anywhere in America, and Chavez  can just take a hike.. He won't have the mullah to pay for the Russian fleet to pay courtesy calls in the Carribean, or to finance Castro S.A. anymore.

By the way are ya gonna run as a Dem or GOP for Guv next year?

"Sarah Palin would never apologize to Europe for America's greatness"

Obama didn't "apologize" to Europe for our "greatness". He did say that they have to (paraphrasing), stop, being anti-American. You have to get your facts from some other source than Rushannity, who purposely leave out the sentence following the so called "apologizing" sentence. Read the text of the speech.

"She would never address students in Turkey declaring America never was nor is now a Judeo-Christian country"

Maybe you should read up on what guys like Tommy Jefferson had to say about that, as well as some of our other Founding Fathers. Of course, that would go against the Rushannity venom.

"She would never bow to a Saudi King and keeper of the two holy mosque".

Get a grip, there are pictures of GWB doing the same thing.

"She would never spend $900,000,000 in support of enemies Israel ..."

You mean like the Great R God Ronnie did by ILLEGALLY selling arms to Iran via the Iran Contra scandal? And the deal for those weapons? Keep the hostages until after he was sworn in, so Carter couldn't get the credit for freeing them.

"She would never court the Castro brothers..."

So talking is bad? Seems 50 years of NOT talking sure didn't produce anything. Einstein once said that trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

"...would never shake the hand of a dictator like Hugo Chavez."

Now I know you're being fed by Rushannity, for that's what they call Chavez. The reality is that while he is a jerk, he is not a Dictator, he is their duly elected President.

"..would never fire the CEO of GM, from the Oval Office."

So you would rather keep the guy making bad decisions there and let the whole company go down the drain? (Personally I think he should have done the same thing with some of the financial institutions.)

"It was the Alaska State Ledgislature which passed the stimulas tax and spend, not Gov. Palin."

Could she not veto it? Or is it easier to blame someone else?

"Lincoln-Reagon-Palin"

Please don't disparage Lincoln by putting him in the same context as Reagan and SP. Again, check your History, Reagan lowered taxes once, and RAISED taxes many times, including the HIGHEST Corp tax in history. (Google it.) Of course Rushannity don't feed you the whole story. And as for SP, she left Wasilla $20M in debt when she left the Mayor's job. Some fiscal conservative.

"As for Levi, well he made his bed"

Now you've convinced everyone you're a cultist. Taking the Palin side without any of us knowing all the facts. Dear old SP has to protect her wingnut image, so Levi goes under the bus because he wouldn't march in step.

History's a bi*ch at times.
