Parnell addresses Alaska's economic future

FAIRBANKS — Gov. Sean Parnell outlined his economic vision for Interior Alaska on Saturday.

The governor came to the Hotel North Pole to address the North Pole Economic Development Corp. at a meeting attended by several Interior legislators.

Parnell acknowledged that existing oil fields in Alaska are on the decline and said he supports further exploration, which could create as many as 35,000 new jobs. Under fire from state representatives who wrote a letter to him Friday expressing concerns about a 2007 increase in the state’s oil tax, Parnell blamed the federal government’s environmental concerns for holding up oil exploration.

Dan,

Please don't pull articles like Rebecca's without an explanation. It gives the lefty wingnuts like Toyowhatever  a reason to post.

Parnel is just more of the failed Palin  and Hollis French  nonsense without all  the drama. He is painful to listen  to  and just doesn't ever  say much.

He doesn't have the wil or conviction to clean up the mess Palin and French made which  will require dumping the dopey band of three : Irwin, Galvin and Rutherford. These clowns need to go.

Ralph Samuels is a plain speak and energenic person. Look,  the left will hate him but at least they will know what they hate - The angry left can spew all day from the loosers sidelines after supporting the mealy mouthed  French  or Berkowitz. But lets keep them  there by running someone with some conviction, energy and guts.

I take it that Rebecca Logan's piece from this morning, the one demanding that Rep. Nancy Dahlstrom be removed from her position in the GOP's Juneau heirarchy was removed because someone called Dan Fagan and told him to take it down?

For those who missed it, here's how it began:

Nancy Dahlstrom Doesn't Deserve Leadership Role in Legislature

Representative Nancy Dahlstrom has been given a position of power – Rules Chair. In my opinion, she hasn’t earned that position, and if she wants to be a leader in the Republican Party – she has to prove where her loyalties really are. Follow the money.

It was only a few short months ago that I listened to many Republican leaders in this state talk about the negative impact that the November 2008 elections had on our state. Much of the discussion centered on the influence that organized labor had in the elections. Organized labor played a huge role in our congressional and state elections – tons of money given to candidates – lots of foot soldiers on the ground working for candidates –candidates from the Democrat party. This didn’t go unnoticed by the Republicans, and there was much discussion that day, and in the time since that meeting, about countering the influence of organized labor.

Dan, who called you and directed you to remove Logan's piece?  And why did you comply?  And to think you have the nerve to criticize actual journalists lol....
