While her political future may be up in the air, Sarah Palin's populist star wattage remains undeniable as she basks in an undimmed political limelight for a core of supporters bored by what they describe as a lackluster Republican Party leadership and angry at the Obama administration's expansion of government and imposition of power.
A little more than a week after she launched her "Going Rogue" book tour, drawing thousands in rock-star fashion at stops across the country, the former Alaska governor has become a standard-bearer for a constituency seeking an unfettered voice on the direction of the nation.

The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.
4- Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.
So "You go, Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals.
I rest my case.
Oh my, where do I start? Dewie is painfully uninformed.
1) Sarah Palin was an unemployed stay-at-home mother running for governor when the FBI was investigating the "Corrupt Bastards Club." She had nothing to do with anyone "wearing orange jump suits."
2) Yes, Governor Palin did "construct and enact" a windfall profits tax on the oil industry in Alaska, increasing taxes on the industry 400%. The same industry that funds roughly 90% of our state government so Alaskans don't have to pay a state income tax or a state sales tax. But Alaskans didn't get "filthy rich" from it. We got $1,200.00 of it. The rest is going to grow government coffers.
3) I never heard anything about Palin "cutting 85% of federal funding for projects," but I do know that she kept the federal funding for the Gravina Island Bridge (aka "Bridge to Nowhere"), sold the jet at a loss, gave Chef Stefani Marnon a different state job, quit using the state vehicle only when she found out she'd have to pay taxes on it, and did dismiss some of her security staff - even though she had stated publicly that she felt threatened by Trooper Wooten. And the only thing I ever noticed her "packing" were the two Blackberrys she used to run the state - through her Yahoo email accounts.
4) No gas line is being built. Open season is in 2010, so let's wait and see. But I'm not holding my breath.
5) The state's move to reclaim Point Thomson began under Gov. Frank Murkowski's administration in 2005, when the state's oil and gas director at the time, Mark Myers, rejected Exxon's plan of development for the field. Sarah Palin had NOTHING to do with that.
6) Anyone can "submit a plan." That's the easy part! Then she QUIT.
Alaskans (aka "haters") held Sarah Palin accountable, like she asked them to... and they all still have their faces.
Apparently incontrovertible evidence of Sarah Palin's star quality and roaring success on the national stage cannot be heard, understood or seen by those suffering from the new psychological condition known as Palin Derangement Syndrome.
HE SAYS HE LIKES WHAT SHE IS DOING NOW,
BUT HAD TO WASH HIS HANDS OF HER WHEN SHE WAS GOVERNOR???
MAYBE HER BOOK WILL HELP SELL HIS BOOK?????

has always been an advocate for private individuals making money! He washed his hands of Palin BEFORE she became governor. He doesn't support politicians like Sarah Palin who increase taxes and grow government. He's a conservative.
AFTER SARAH BEAT FRANK AND JOHN BINKLEY HE SAID HE WOULD VOTE FOR TONY BECAUSE HE WOULD WORK BETTER WITH THE OIL COMPANIES (takes their campaign money) THAN SARAH WOULD.
It was sad to see him acting like an AIR AMERICA SHOW eating his own kind.
But the good news is he can now say good things about her to help his failing show.
HE SAYS HIS SHOW IS NOT FAILIING?
BUT WHO ELSE HAS A SIDE KICK THAT PLAYS GUITAR TUNES WHEN THEY SHOULD BE LISTENING TO THE SHOW?
AND TOM STILL CALLS IN DAILY
BUT OTHER THAN THAT ITS THE PEOPLE NO OTHER SHOW WILL HAVE.
WACKY WARREN AND THE OTHER SHOW BLOCKERS ARE NOT RATINGS.
IT HAS TURNED INTO THE RICK WAKES ORTEGA UP ALL MORNING SHOW.
GOOD THING DAN AND EDDIE ARE NOT CRAZY ENOUGH TO GET UP THAT EARLY.
